1. Series Overview – Intelligent Motor Management

The SIMOCODE pro 3UF7 is a modular, flexible motor management system. It controls and protects constant-speed motors in low-voltage applications. The Basic Unit serves as the central component of every SIMOCODE pro system. Therefore, it provides the core intelligence for motor protection, control, and diagnostics.

Each SIMOCODE pro system comprises a Basic Unit and a separate Current Measuring Module for each feeder. These modules connect electrically via a system interface cable. In addition, they can mount mechanically connected or separately (side by side). An Operator Panel is optionally connected for control cabinet door mounting.

2. Basic Unit Variants

SIMOCODE pro offers two device series with different functional scopes.

Basic Unit 1 (SIMOCODE pro C) – The compact, cost-effective solution for standard motor protection and direct/reversing starter control.

Basic Unit 2 (SIMOCODE pro S / pro V) – The variable system offering numerous additional functions. For example, it supports star-delta starters, two-speed motors, solenoid valve actuation, positioner actuation, and soft starter actuation. Moreover, Basic Unit 2 can expand with digital, analog, temperature, ground-fault, and fail-safe expansion modules.

3. Integrated Protection Functions

The Basic Unit executes all motor protection and control functions autonomously, even when communication to the automation system is interrupted. As a result, this ensures full feeder functionality or parameterized safe behavior during bus failure.
